At the MTV Movie Awards a few weeks back, Jack Black came wearing a huge gash across his neck. But you’ll want to direct your attention below the wound — no, not to the pantaloons — to Black’s slightly more subtle statement: a “Brütal Legend” tee. We’re not sure how many casual viewers have attempted to google the term, only to be stifled by the key command for an umlaut, but those of us attuned to Black’s sense of style certainly appreciate the nod to Tim Schafer’s seemingly in limbo project, for which Black lends his vocals. When questioned about his getup, Black responded, “I just wanted to represent. I do this video game Brütal Legend. It’s coming someday.”

MTV Multiplayer followed up with Sierra on Black’s impromptu plug, reporting that the publisher was, obviously, grateful for the nationally televised marketing. Still, Sierra declined to elaborate on Black’s vague promise, saying only, “we are excited to reveal more details regarding our plans for Brütal Legend very soon.”

With the recent hubbub over Apple’s iPhone and iPod Touch, many are wondering if it will threaten the market dominance that Nintendo enjoys with their DS handheld. Even though Forbes thinks Apple has a chance at dethroning the DS, we’re realists and know that just isn’t possible. But, then the price point for iPhone games was revealed and we got a tad bit worried.

Sure, games sell the system, but the titles available on the iPhone and iPod Touch will go for 17-18 Euros (which comes to about $25-$28, less than Nintendo’s first-party titles), according to LemonQuest CEO Ignacio Cavero. It’s not much, but it’s something, and definitely a lot more noticeable when compared to Square Enix games, which often debut at a $34.99 price point. But, we could also see even cheaper stuff, because Apple is leaving the final pricing up to the publishers.

Remember that rumor of a spherical Microsoft Surface bouncing around the labs of Redmond? At the time, we didn’t get it. Now, imagine if you would the combination of a multi-touch sphere with these 360-degree games from SusiGames. Oh sure, the games have been kicking around art shows and design exhibitions for several months now, and rely upon a modified Wiimote and decidedly non-touch-sensitive SusiSphere for interactivity. Nevertheless, the union of the two concepts sure is tantalizing.

Here’s an easy (albeit expensive) way to class up your board game night. Just throw away that old cardboard Clue game and replace it with this Premier Edition. The gameboard is a wood-paneled box that features nine sunken three-dimensional rooms complete with decorations and even miniature furniture. Unfortunately all of those miniature rooms are off-limits since they’re covered by a non-removable piece of tempered glass. Also, I suspect that Colonel Mustard has been replaced with Colonel Grey Poupon, and instead of killing people with weapons, the characters all commit various levels of corporate crime. Now that’s classy!
