Batman Crocs Ain’t Winning Any Fashion Contests

I can’t think of anything more that needs to be said other than these are Crocs, in black and yellow, with a Batman symbol on the front. If you are a grown man or woman and are wearing or considering buying these, I would advise you to seek help or at the very least some fashion advice from someone that you can trust. On the other hand if you are a kid, you can knock yourself out.

Napbook Laptop Case is Perfect for Sleeping on the Job

The Napbook is a computer case with enough padding for it to function as a pillow, which makes it perfect for people who like to sleep on the commute or have a pretty mellow workplace like mine where napping at the desk is a daily occurrence that raises no eyebrows.

Asian pollution could warm Europe and U.S.

Asian pollution could warm Europe and U.S.When it comes to environmental issues, including air pollution, it’s not just about your own little piece of the world. What happens across the globe can have far-reaching effects. According to a new report by NOAA, pollution from Asia could create summer hot spots in the central U.S. and southern Europe by 2050.

Particle pollution, or soot, originating from Asian power plants, cooking and heating might only stay in the air for a few days locally, but its warming effect can last for decades globally. Particulate matter is a major consideration in daily air quality, but should also be considered for its impact on climate change, according to scientists. Soot is the black carbon particles that result from combustion; since soot particles are dark, they absorb heat.

According to this report, soot and sulfate pollution originating in Asia is likely to make the Midwest U.S. and southern parts of Europe hotter and drier, but are not necessarily expected to change Asia’s climate.

Energy Ball wind turbine captures energy for the home

As much as we prefer a good old-fashioned bird-killin’ three blade wind turbine, apparently they cause a bit too much vibration and disturbance for regular home use. That’s where the Energy Ball comes in, with its spherical shape that captures wind less obtrusively and yet more efficiently. At least that’s what we’re told, we’re a bit short on details. We do know that it’s in the prototype stages and was designed by Swedish company Home Energy, who claims their smallest Energy Ball can provide about 15% of the necessary energy to power the average Swedish home.

File Under Have To Have: Personal Sub/Dolphin Thing

dolphin subI can’t wait to be so disgustingly rich that I can afford to blow money on super-cool stuff like this personal submarine shaped like a dolphin. Seriously, I only need to get people to click on my Google Ads, like, 53,477,634,111,236 more times… you know, just a round about figure.

This Seabreacher Mini-sub acts as both jet-ski and submarine all in one, getting up to 45 mph on the surface and up to 20 mph under water. You can even pop out of the water and do “tricks,” which is just damn cool. If you go too far or stay under too long, the craft will auto-float to the top, and it will even itself out automatically if you flip over. All this for the low, low price of about $60,000.

I think this is pretty spiffy, and personally can’t wait for the cheaper, inflatable version to hit the market. It will do just about everything this one does, except go fast, or dive, or sit multiple people… Or be cool. But whatever, it’ll still rock!

Fold Away Your Memos With Origami Sticky Notes

Sticky notes are useful, but invariably end up in the trash after a very short space of time. So the idea of putting them to another use, such as teaching yourself the intricate art of Japanese paper folding is an awesome idea. Once you are done with your notes, you can fold them into origami cranes, frogs and other cool yet simple models.
